As our journey at seqWell has grown and evolved over the past few years, one of the great joys for our team has been seeing the impact our NGS multiplexing and workflow solutions has brought to different sequencing applications.
The era of large scale genomics presents many exciting and important challenges, as the use of sequencing becomes ubiquitous and routine for so many demanding applications ranging from whole genome sequencing, single cell biology, genotyping and diagnostics.
In this new newsletter, and over future issues, we look forward to sharing with you some of the stories and perspectives we have learned about these applications with you, as we continue our mission to unlock the power and potential of sequencing platforms with simple, transformational library workflow technologies.
With that, I am pleased to welcome you to the very first issue of The seqWell Scope!

How Whole-Genome Sequencing Changed Our Approach to COVID-19 Pandemic
If the past several years has shown us anything, it’s how quickly the scientific community responds to global health crises. With the use of effective methods and innovative technologies, scientists are able to rapidly sequence SARS-COV-2 and share virus genomic sequence data globally, which contributes to our understanding of transmission, helping us design effective mitigation strategies.
In this blog we explain how whole-genome sequencing has changed our approach to the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more
The Importance of Doing NGS Library QC Right
There’s no question that the world of biotech has embraced next-generation sequencing (NGS). Despite being a popular technique, it has its challenges – especially when it comes to NGS library prep. As a result, it’s critical to implement NGS library prep QC procedures into your process. In our latest blog, we explore how to do library QC the right way and what could happen if you don’t.
Caught in the Act: Tracking the Emergence and Divergence of SARS-CoV-2 through Statewide Testing and Sequencing
In regards to tracking the emergence and divergence of SARS-CoV-2 through statewide testing and sequencing in New York state.
“In order to adopt such a scaled-up effort, we had to identify the best enrichment PCR protocol. We found the ARTIC V3 protocol using seqWell’s plexWell method. It actually enabled us to implement low, moderate, and even higher throughput as needed. It wouldn’t have been possible to do without adopting [plexWell’s] scalable platform.”
